Specifications
For instance, when the printer is working on a black and white document, the speed is about 8.0 ipm. But printing in color has a rate of 4.0 images per minute (ipm). It also has duplex printing, which is also two-sided printing for both sides of the print paper. In terms of the cartridge types and capacity, standard cartridge models are the PG-445 for black and CL-446 for color. But there are also XL cartridge models for higher print yield than the standard cartridge types.
Considering the media types, the Canon PIXMA MG2940 model can print on plain paper, envelopes, and photo paper types. Besides, the compatible standard sizes are A4, B5 A5, legal, letter, photo paper, and envelope sizes. The maximum paper input load is up to 60 sheets of plain paper that pass through the rear tray. When the machine is at work, the plain paper load must have a weight range of 64 and 105 gsm. However, Canon photo paper can allow a maximum weight of 275 gsm.
Under the scanning specifications, its working component is the contact image sensor (CIS) with a document and photo scanner. The maximum optical resolution is about 600 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi), while the average speed is 14 seconds. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
