Specifications
In terms of print speed, black and white printing is 24 images per minute (ipm) under normal circumstances. Conversely, color printing is at the rate of 15.5 ipm, while the first page in 7 seconds. When printing with plain paper, the main tray can hold up to 250 sheets through the upper plate. The compatible paper sizes include A4, letter, legal, B5, A5, envelopes, and photo sizes. Its compatible print protocols include the SNMP (standard MIB) and TCP/IP features.
Concerning the paperweights, the plain paper supports between 64 and 105 gsm. But the Canon specialty paper argues a maximum weight of 275 gsm when other factors remain constant. The speed of the printer when copying in black and white documents is about 22 ipm. But color copying is at the rate of 11.5 ipm. Then, it has a maximum of multiple copies of up to 99 from a single original document.
Under scanning, the machine uses the standard flatbed and automatic document feeder (ADF). Optical scanning resolution can reach up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, but the depth depends on the scanning mode. For instance, grayscale depth is about 16bit/8bit, while the color depth is 48bit/24bit for input/output, respectively. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
