Why won’t my HP printer let me scan?

How do I activate scanning?
Select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners or use the following button. Select Add a printer or scanner. Wait for it to find nearby scanners, then choose the one you want to use, and select Add device.
Can print to printer but Cannot scan?
Check for a Firewall setting on your computer. If a Firewall on your computer is active, it may be rejecting the necessary network connection needed for the network scanning software to operate properly. Disable the Firewall on your computer and try the network scanning again.
